»The Mambo Stars«, latin salsa band from Belgrade, Serbia, was founded 1999. by  the group of professional  jazz musicians - members of Big Band RTS(Radio Television Serbia). They transformed their longlasting love for latin music into this very  attractive
ensemble. At that time, after famous moviesMambo KingsandBuena Vista Social Club,  when latin music was on the top of planetary popularity, »The Mambo Stars« was the first latin band in Serbia. Great success of band made a stream of latin influences and latin bands, projects, such as salsa clubs and band with latinoamerican musicians here in Belgrade.  During the decade of presence, whole serbian  jazz-scene took part in this band. 

From the very begining »The Mambo Stars« had a lot of concerts around Serbia, in all major cities, at many festivals(Belgrade Jazz Festival, Grad Theater Budva Festival, Valjevo Jazz Festival, Sabac Jazz Festival, FEST, Days Of Belgrade Festival, Pan Festival,...)  and in a many clubs In Serbia and Montenegro.

»The Mambo Stars« took part in opening many new nightclubs(Montanaro Jazz Club, Colonial Sun Club, Wooloomooloo Club...), dancing competitions (dancing school "Beodnce", "Natalija & Ivica"), private party's (Madlena Zepter opening house event, Saga Computers, Colonial Sun Club, Association of Basketball Coaches SCG, Fund Katarina Rebraca,... and many  wedding party's - Vesna Trivalic Wedd.party, Nikola Kojo Wedd.party, Igor Milanovic Wedd.party,Aleksandar Mijatovic Wedd. Party, Zdravko Brkic Wedd.party,...)

»The Mambo Stars«Repertoire  is very wide  - it consist of cuban salsa, famous latin hits, evergreen and movie themes, pop and dancing music...  Ensemble recorded many TV shows, broadcast and new year programs. »The Mambo Stars« bandleader is  saxophonist Tihomir "Tiki" Jaksic, and he arranged almost all music for the band.  

Along our permanent singer, we have very often few special guest stars: Tijana Dapcevic, Ana Stanic, Lena Kovacevic,  Mari Mari,   
Djole "Pingvin" Dragojlovic, Ana Sofrenovic, Marko Kalajanovic, Nada Pavlovic, and we have very actractive repertoires with them.

Budva's Old Town became a big dance stage when The Mambo Stars "burned on" huge audience with latino, cuban and salsa hits. Jamsession was lasting due to down.
